In early April, we will launch an updated version of the video call! Healthcare professionals and patients who use the web interface can be confident that the functionality is smarter and even easier to use, the call view is clearer, and it is possible to see more participants in the video stream at the same time. It will not require any instructions to start using - it is intuitive and works in the same way as before. But for those of you who are curious, we have collected information and pictures that show the most important news.
Note: You do not need to do anything to start using the new video call. It will automatically replace the current video call feature with the April 7 update.
News and features
In the new video call, the healthcare professional sees themself in the lower left in the picture by default, just as before, but can also choose to show their own picture in full screen. But the biggest news is perhaps that the healthcare professional can see up to nine participants in the video stream during the multi-party conversation! It’s also possible to choose whether you want to see the participants in a gallery or speaker view.
The following functions are displayed in the field at the bottom:
-
Turn off the camera
-
Mute the microphone
-
Share screen
-
Chat
-
More options
-
End call
Screen sharing
Screen sharing works just as before for the healthcare professional, but now patients and other participants who use the web interface will also be able to share their screen.
Chat
In the chat, the healthcare professional and a patient using the web interface can upload pictures and files. You can also preview the files before sending them.
More options
Under More options, the healthcare professional can choose whether they want to see the participants in a gallery or speaker view.

Information and warning messages
If there is a problem during the call, warning or error messages are displayed, such as a problem with the network. The user also receives an information message if they talk while the microphone is muted.
