The video view
In a video consultation with a patient, you see yourself in the lower-left corner and the patient in the big picture. At the bottom right you see the patient's name, and here it is also shown if they have turned off their microphone. Hover over the patient's name to see more information, such as phone number or social security number.
The field at the top of the screen has the following functions:
- Chat
- Settings
- Turn on/turn off camera
- Turn on/turn off microphone
- Share screen
- End/leave call
Customise your own image
You can enlarge your own image by clicking on the three dots at the top right of your image and selecting Enlarge your video. It can be good if you want to show the patient something, such as an exercise. You can also hide your image by clicking on Hide your video. Then the patient can still see you, but you do not have to be distracted by your own image. You can also move your feed around on the screen byclicking on the image and then moving your mouse while "holding it".
Turn off your camera or microphone
If you want to turn off your camera completely, click on the camera icon. The participant will then only see your initials instead of your image. To turn off your microphone, do the same. The participant will then see an icon indicating that you have muted your microphone.
Screen sharing
If you want to show meeting participants a document, images, or perhaps guide a participant through instructions or a program, you can share your screen. Click on Share and then select which screen you want to share. Some browsers also allow you to share audio, which can be useful if you’re showing an instructional video. This setting needs to be adjusted in the browser’s own settings, so it’s a good idea to test it in advance to ensure it works as expected.
Other participants can also share their screen if they are using a browser. However, they cannot share their screen if they are using the app.
Chat
In the chat, you and other participants can send text messages and files, e.g. photos, videos or documents. When you upload a file, a thumbnail is displayed, so you can be sure that the correct file is attached.
Once the file is sent, you can click on it to view it in large format. Files sent in the chat are automatically saved both in the call and in the meeting view in the calendar, under the paperclip.
Settings
When you open Settings during a video call, you can adjust the following:
- Video effects: Choose if you want a blurred background, a preset background image, or none at all.
- Layout: Select to view all participants in a grid or focus on the active speaker.
- Camera and sound: Here, you can choose which camera, microphone, and speaker you want to use during the call. You can also activate noise reduction to minimise background noise.
Adjust Participant’s Video
If a participant appears too zoomed in (which can happen when they use the app), you can adjust the video feed. Click on the three dots next to the participant’s name and select Fit to frame to adjust the view. If you want to revert to a full display, select Fill frame.
End or Leave Call
When you want to leave the call, click on Leave. You will then see two options:
- End call – This will end the call for all participants, and they will be directed to the evaluation.
- Leave the call – This will only remove you from the call, allowing the other participants to continue.
Reconnect to call
The only/last care provider in the call
If you are the only or last care provider in the call and you click Leave the call, you will see a screen with two options:
- End the call for everyone – This will end the call for all participants, and everyone will proceed to the evaluation.
- Rejoin the call – This allows you to rejoin the call.
Note: It’s important not to close the tab without an action, as it may prevent the call from ending properly and could lead to incorrect statistics.
Other care providers in the call
If you are one of multiple care providers in the call and you click Leave the call, you will see a screen with two options:
- Go to the evaluation – This takes you to the evaluation while the other participants can continue the call.
- Rejoin the call – This allows you to rejoin the call.
Take a screenshot
To take a screenshot during the call, use the function found in the computer's operating system. If you are using Windows, you can press Windows + shift + S and then select which area you want to take a picture of. For Mac, hold down Command + shift + 4 for the same function.
