In the decision support (also called patient summary), you’ll find the patient history gathered from the patient through Red Robin’s automated chat. The layout may look slightly different depending on your context, but the information remains the same.
Here’s a breakdown of the different sections you’ll encounter in an automated patient history:
- Description of matter:
This section lists the symptoms or reasons for contact that the patient selects before entering the automated chat. It’s the starting point of their medical history. The patient’s description is always displayed unaltered, and is divided into two parts:
Initial Description: This is always included and provides the primary reason for the patient’s contact.
Additional Information: This is shown only if the patient chooses to leave extra information at the end of the chat. The patient can also choose to submit an image. In this case, the image or images are shown in attachments. - Patient Information:
This section shows patient specific information, such as sex, age, and whether the case was submitted by a patient representative. Note that while sex and age are typically pulled from the national identification number, it is possible for the patient to change the values at the beginning of the flow. The values shown here are those confirmed by the patient. Depending on which system Visiba Triage is used with, other information such as patient name and contact details may also be displayed. - Attachments:
If the patient has uploaded any images of their condition, they will appear here as thumbnails. You can click on these thumbnails to enlarge the images for a better view. Sometimes the automated chat asks for an image, and sometimes these images are uploaded by the patient as additional information at the end of the chat. - Presenting Complaints:
These are symptoms that the patient selects and confirms after entering the Description of Matter. Further information about the recurrence and timelines for those symptoms is also displayed here divided by symptom. - Additional Answers:
These are additional symptoms or risk factors that are asked about during the chat. They are divided into those the patient has confirmed, denied, or is unsure about. - Triage Outcome and Evaluation:
These will be covered in separate sections in Urgency & Prioritisation, Differential Diagnoses, and Evaluation after Patient Contact.
