In the decision support (also called patient summary), you’ll find the patient history gathered from the patient through Red Robin’s automated chat. The layout may look slightly different depending on whether you’re using a messaging conversation or a video consultation in Visiba Care, but the information remains the same.
Here’s a breakdown of the different sections you’ll encounter in an automated patient history:
- Presenting complaints:
This section lists the symptoms or reasons for contact that the patient selects before entering the automated chat. It’s the starting point of their medical history. - Description of matter:
The patient’s description is always displayed unaltered, and it’s divided into two parts:
- Initial Description: This is always included and provides the primary reason for the patient’s contact.
- Additional Comment: This is shown only if the patient chooses to leave extra information at the end of the chat. For the additional comment, the patient can also choose to submit an image. In this case, the image or images are shown in attachments.
- Attachments:
If the patient has uploaded any images of their condition, they will appear here as thumbnails. You can click on these thumbnails to enlarge the images for a better view. Sometimes the automated chat asks for an image, and sometimes these images are uploaded by the patient as additional information at the end of the chat. - Symptoms:
Symptoms are organized into three categories:- Confirmed Symptoms: These are symptoms the patient has acknowledged. They might have follow-up questions and detailed information like the onset, variation, and location.
- Denied Symptoms: These are symptoms the patient has explicitly denied having. They are listed without additional details.
- Unsure Symptoms: If the patient responds with “Don’t know” to any questions, these symptoms are placed in this category.
- Contributing factors:
Similar to symptoms, contributing factors are categorized as:- Confirmed Factors: These are factors the patient has confirmed, which might include follow-up questions.
- Denied Factors: Factors the patient has denied having.
- Unsure Factors: Factors the patient is uncertain about.
