With a background image in video calls, you can create a more professional and consistent environment. The background image is set up by global and local administrators and can't be selected by individual users.
Placement in the Interface
To find the background image setting for calls, go to Appointment in the menu and select Background image in call. Here, you can adjust the background settings for video calls at the organisational or unit level.
Hierarchy
The background image is prioritised according to the following hierarchy:
- Default image – If no other image has been uploaded, Visiba’s default image is used.
- Global level – A global administrator can upload an image that applies to the entire organisation, overriding the default image.
- Local level – A local administrator can upload an image for a specific unit, which then overrides both the default image and the global image.
Configuration
To configure the background image, upload an image that applies either to the entire organisation (global level) or to a specific unit (local level).
The following information about the priority flow and the consequences of uploading or removing an image is essential to know:
Global Level
- Upload: A background image uploaded at the global level applies to all units within the organisation and overrides the default image.
- Remove: If the image is removed, all users revert to Visiba’s default image, provided no local image has been uploaded.
Local Level
- Upload: A local image overrides both the default and global images, but it only applies to the specific unit where the image is uploaded. It’s important to be logged in to the correct unit when uploading.
- Remove: If the image is removed, all users within that unit revert to the global image or the default image, depending on whether a global image has been uploaded.
Identify the image’s origin
To see the level at which a background image has been uploaded, an indicator is displayed above the image preview. If the image originates from a different level than the one you are currently on, for example, a default image or a global organisational image, an indicator will appear with information about its origin. If you are on a specific unit and the image was uploaded at that unit level, no indicator will be displayed.
Background image recommendations
- For best results, choose a background image with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Select a background that works well in both landscape and portrait orientations.
- Prefer a calm and neutral background to create a professional, distraction-free environment.
Don’t gave this option as an administrator?
If you do not see this option under the Appointment tab, your organisation is still using the older version of the call interface. The feature will become available when the new call interface is rolled out for your organisation.
