- Visit the Google Play Developer Console.
- Enter basic information about your developer/organization identity—name, email address, and so on. You can modify this information later.
- Read and accept the Developer Distribution Agreement for your country or region.
- Pay a $25 USD registration fee using Google payments. If you don't have a Google Payments account, you can quickly set one up during the process.
Verify Your Identity
After payment, you need to verify your identity. Follow the instructions provided by Google in this step.
Provide:
- Legal name and address.
- A private email domain matching your organization's website.
- A D-U-N-S number or other verification documents.
The name on the Government ID you use to verify should match a name appearing on one of document provided for proving ownership of the business. Then the verification process will be much smoother.
Set Up Your Developer Profile
Once your account is verified, complete your developer profile:
1. Add contact details, including email address, phone number, and website. Verify each one when asked.
2. Verify website:
When filling in "Organisation website" you will be asked to verify that you are the owner of the domain. Follow the instructions provided by Google. Important here is that after the verification is completed in Google Search Console you have to go back to Google Play Console and click the "Verify" button once. Then it is all done.
